What Size Kit Do I Need? (Size Guide)

Small Kit: Designed for ATV's, 4-Wheelers, Side-by-Sides or similar. Not suitable for cars or trucks.

Medium Kit: Designed for Coupes and small Sedans. (Porsche 911, Ford Mustang, BMW 3 Series, or similar).

Large Kit: Designed for larger Sedans and small SUV's. (Audi A7, BMW 5 Series, Mercedes S Class, Mazda CX-5, or similar).

Extra Large Kit: Designed for most Trucks and SUV's. (Ford F-150, Audi Q7, Ram 1500, Ford Expedition).

If in doubt, please upgrade to the next size up. It is always better to have a little extra material vs having not enough. Super size trucks or SUV's may require addition material over the Extra Large.

What Sprayer Should I Use?

Plasti Dip gallons are designed to be sprayed through turbine systems such as the DYC G-Force DipSprayer or Advanced DipSprayer they are traditionally too thick to be sprayed through an HVLP. HVLP may produce dry spray and can ruin the finish.

When choosing the option, "Yes, I need the Sprayer", this will include the DYC G-Force DipSprayer.

Specs & Guidelines

Plasti Dip protects your vehicle from acids, abrasion, corrosion, impact, salts, moisture and weathering. It remains flexible, stretchy and will not crack, or become brittle in extreme temperatures when applied correctly.

Test all applications in a small inconspicuous area to make sure it will meet your expectations and is suitable for each unique surface. Although Plasti Dip has proven to be safe and predictable, every surface is unique and it's impossible to predict how each surface will react

Dipping for ever a decade , dip is the best it’s ever been!!

I would like to thank Fonzie and the team for making performance series colors. So easy to spray it’s almost impossible to make a mistake. Coverage with tactical green was great, I had my whole wagon covered almost right away in a few coats.

Pure satisfaction

The tactical green turn out really good on my audi, more smooth, the green looks stunning and fancy, is almost liked satin color. compare to camo tan and avalanche grey.

I plan on dipping my car this beautiful color now. I also wanna put some flakes on top to give it more of a deeper and stock look. It doesn't seem to come with any kind of pearl. And that's fine. Will I need to buy a separate gallon of clear to mix my Black flakes into it, and can you also give me a video on how to properly apply this without over doing it? The Is car is a mid size sadan Is is the medium Bundle large enough ? Thanks for all your help

Hello, The Tactical Green already has a gold metallic pearl added into the gallons which is why you see a gold flare/shimmer when the light hits the surface. If you want to add falkes over this you would need to get an additional 2 gallons of topcoat to mix and apply the flakes over the Tactical Green. Then you would need another gallon(possibly 2 if the flakes are big) to bury the flake. If you do not bury the flake then you will feel the flakes protruding through the dip and the whole vehicle will feel like 30 grit sandpaper. A medium size sedan will take the medium car kit then add the additional gallons if you choose to add a flake. We dont have any videos on how much flake to use as that will be up to the customers personal preference. I recommend starting with a lower amount and if you want more effect add more. This would also be best testing small scale before spraying the vehicle so you can dial in the look you want to do. We sell PDS Color Samples, sample bags of pearls and flakes, Preval Sprayers, Speed Shapes, and quarts of topcoat all for testing purposes.

We do not have experience Dipping boats here at DYC, as we apply the product to the exterior of our Cars and Trucks pretty much exclusively. We do apologize. We have seen customers use the products on their boats in the past, however they will typically keep it above the water line. For something like this, we would have to recommend doing some small-scale testing to see how the product holds up prior to Dipping the surface full scale.

D good afternoon, I see that the tactical green comes with a gray and a green. I have a white Audi TT do I need to spray the gray or can I just use the green how does this work?

Yes, the Avalanche Grey is the basecoat which is required for Tactical Green.
